​Kadiatu M. Lublin (Kadi), is a committed advocate for student-centered policy. Elected to the Darien Board of Education in 2022, she is seeking re-election to continue the work she has begun. During her first term, she has prioritized early literacy reform, inclusive education, and oversight of leadership transitions, while remaining deeply engaged with constituents and always putting students first.

 

Before joining the Board of Education, Kadi served as a member of the Ox Ridge Building Committee, PTO Co-Chair at Ox Ridge Elementary, and as an Executive Board member of CDSP, chairing the Special Education Committee. Passionate about education, Kadi is also a former preschool teacher and DPS substitute, currently pursuing a Master's in Public Administration at NYU, with a specialization in nonprofit management and leadership.

 

Kadi and her husband, Derek, have lived in Darien since 2008. They have three wonderful children ages 17, 15, and 11, and two, very sweet, yellow labs. Sam is pictured below; Sloane was probably off being naughty when this photo was taken.
